Sales & forecasting
PAR level — The minimum amount of a product you want to have on hand for a week. The order tracker compares your count against PAR to suggest reorders.
DOW weight — Day-of-week weight. Each day's typical share of weekly sales. The forecast uses this to pace the monthly budget realistically instead of splitting it evenly.
Rolling 7-day average — The sum of the last seven days of sales, used to smooth charts so short-term spikes do not distort the trend.
1-day horizon forecast — The weather model's prediction as it stood one day in advance. This is the most useful version for staffing decisions.
MAE — Mean Absolute Error. The average size of the gap between forecast and actual sales. Lower is better.
AVG Δ — Average delta. The average percent difference between forecast and actual sales.
Labor
Cut / Add — The number of labor hours to remove (cut) or bring on (add) based on how sales are pacing against the forecast.
Sr GM Adj — Senior GM adjustment. Senior GM hours removed from a store's labor actual.
Manual Adj — Manual adjustment. A hand-entered labor adjustment that moves dollars to or from corporate.
Inventory & product
COGS — Cost of Goods Sold. The cost of the product actually used during the month, calculated at the financial close.
Copy-forward — An inventory feature that carries last week's count in as the starting point for this week.
Waste — Product thrown out. Logged in Product Tracking so it is reflected in COGS.
Giveaway — Product given to a customer or used for a promotion rather than sold. Logged separately from waste.
Cash & finance
Over / Under — The difference between the cash counted in a drawer and what the system expected. Over shows green, under shows red.
EOM — End of Month. The monthly financial close.
